It was around the 1930s when, in the centre of the Mediterranean
Sea, in the Campidano's plain, in the island of Sardinia, the
Picci's Farm started its activities, based on a long tradition
of growing artichokes.
Our strength is the long experience we have achieved and passed
down by the last three generations and the knowledge that we grow
a magical product which taste is unique. In fact, according to
the most well known chefs of all over the world, in Sardinia grows
the "world's best artichoke".
Renzo's Farm has a total surface of about 100 hectares, 70% of
which is destined to the artichokes culture. Renzo is also in
relation with about 15000 more hectares of land belonging to other
Sardinian producers and another 50000 hectares belonging to producers
in the Italian peninsula Sardinia, best known as a holyday resort,
with its, all year round, mild
temperatures and its wind exposure, offers a unique climate to
the artichokes crops to grow.
The wide choice of varieties, from the early to the late ones
guarantees the presence of fresh produce for most of the year.
